Volunteering as a group is a great way to team-build, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact on our community.

At The Reading People we have an ongoing range of opportunities for corporate, organization, or family and friends groups. There are a lot of ways your group can engage with us! Most commonly, groups make an impact by:

  • Helping at special events and fundraisers

  • Helping with cleaning within our building

  • Helping on our grounds

  • Helping to prepare items for mailing

  • Helping to organize books

  • Helping with special projects

Getting started is easy!

Please note - Capital Area Literacy Coalition welcomes volunteers 16 and older. Individuals aged 15 and younger may be permitted to volunteer with CALC. This is to be determined on a case-by-case basis and requires a guardian/parent to volunteer alongside the child.
