ged TEST Preparation
Welcome to the GED Test Preparation Program at The Reading People. Our FREE GED program provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Equivalency and expand their employment and education possibilities. The GED test is made up of four subjects: math, language arts, social studies, and science. We understand that many adult learners have busy schedules, so we provide study materials for each GED subject and allow students to work at their own pace.

GED Program Highlights
All GED services are offered 100% free of charge.

-
Individualized Tutoring: Our experienced tutors offer personalized one-on-one GED tutoring sessions tailored to your specific needs and learning pace. They work closely with you to ensure you understand the content requirements and improve your study skills.
-
Weekly Practice Tests and Progress Meetings: Students come to our facility on a weekly basis to take practice tests and meet with our GED coordinator to discuss their progress.
-
Flexible Learning Options: We offer independent study options, tutoring support, and GED classes to cater to different learning preferences and schedules.

Assessment and Enrollment Process
To get started, we begin with an assessment to determine your current reading and math proficiency level. Our GED coordinator will conduct the assessment, which typically takes about an hour at our CALC office. You can schedule your assessment at a time that works best for you. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Once the assessment is complete, you have several options to choose from:
-
Independent Study: Begin studying independently and take practice tests.
-
Tutoring: Be matched with a GED tutor who will assist you in your learning. You can agree on meeting times, locations, and duration. Tutoring sessions can be conducted in person or online.
-
GED Classes: Register for GED classes hosted by CALC, such as a math class.
